More power to your elbow – put a stop to this madness now, before it’s all too late. Once gone, it will be VERY difficult to re-create the community development built up by these Centres over years of hard work.
It is the fault of the community education staff, the likes of [name deleted] and [name deleted] who for years lived rent free in these so called community centres. Why pay these types in excess of £30,000.00 pa for them to do virtually nothing.
Every other major city in Scotland seems to get along fine without this bunch of charlatans.
I do think this whole attempt to “withdraw” from so-called ‘non-statutory’ services is going to come back to haunt Edinburgh. It might save a few pounds in the short-term but the long-term consequences will be much more expensive.
we use the centre at the foot of Leith Walk for meetings for a club I’m involved in. Stop these cuts now.
